Astrium, e3 Team up to Enhance Superyacht Service
Astrium Services, global provider of satcom enabled solutions, will join e3 on its Monaco Yacht Show stand (QS85 – Darse Sud - Tente Climatisee) for the introduction of an enhanced portfolio of services for owners and operators of Super Yachts, based on Astrium’s established Pharostar VSAT solution. e3 Systems has chosen to become an Astrium Services specialist Partner for the Super Yacht market for Ku-band services. e3 Systems is a supplier of integrated communications, networking and advanced IT and TV solutions within the Super Yacht market.
Astrium and SES Extend Global Service
SES and Astrium Services signed capacity deals to deliver connectivity to vessels around Latin America as well as in the North Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Astrium Services will renew capacity on the SES-4 satellite to provide its customers with managed services for maritime business communications, tracking equipment and engine performance as well as ensuring crew at sea to stay connected. Located at 338 degrees East, SES-4 is among several SES satellites providing capacity to Astrium Services enabling the company to customize services to satisfy specific needs of the maritime industry.
Astrium Extends Agreement with Intelsat
Astrium Services, a global provider of satellite communications-enabled solutions, and Intelsat S.A., a provider of satellite services, signed a multi-year renewal agreement for C-band capacity to be used by Astrium Services' maritime customers in the Mediterranean, Atlantic Ocean, North Sea and Gulf of Mexico. The agreement will enable the new Business Communications unit of Astrium Services to continue meeting the high bandwidth requirements of C-band customized VSAT users, and supports broadband and expanded capabilities in the cruise, ferry and offshore sectors.
