Mediterranean - A New Playground for IMOCAs

In line with a sports policy driven by its President HSH Prince Albert II, the Yacht Club de Monaco is organizing the first Monaco Globe Series early June, the first stage of the new IMOCA (2018-2020) Championship. The second will be the Route du Rhum in November which celebrates its 40th anniversary. With nine of the 60-footers already registered and one pending confirmation, the double-handed non-stop offshore race without assistance is a chance for competitors to rack up points towards selection for the Vendée Globe 2020.

Yacht Chefs Contest at the Yacht Club de Monaco

As part of its training center La Belle Classe Academy, dedicated to the yachting professionals, the Yacht Club de Monaco has partnered with the yacht brokerage company Bluewater to organize, on April 5, a culinary contest for yacht chefs. This 2018 edition saw 12 leaders of different nationalities compete. All 12 are superyachts chefs onboard vessels over 40 meters, from which 5 fly the Monaco Yacht Club's flag: Rola (47m), Black Legend (50m), Sokar (64m), Royal Romance (92 m) and the very emblematic Lady Moura (105 m).

Superior Prepares for Monaco Debut

Superior will be attending the 24th edition of the world’s largest on-water show devoted to superyachts, in the idyllically situated deep-water port of Port Hercule, Monaco, September 24-27. “This is our first time exhibiting in Monaco,” said Superior CEO, John Hogan. Among their products is the new Waterscape project, the world-first commercial and domestic adaptive floating system (AFS) recently patented and launched in Australia. Created by Hogan and architect, Alexander Lotersztain at Derlot Pty Ltd, Waterscape shines the spotlight on the “water appeal” of a home or venue.

Wood Forever Pact: New Criteria for RINA Green Plus Yacht

A Monaco yacht show dedicated to the Green philosophy through numerous initiatives aimed at boosting environmental awareness in the world of pleasure craft. On Saturday 28 September, aboard the 55-meter Ocean Paradise built by Benetti shipyards, an event was held which left a notable green footprint on the decks of the super yachts: leading classification company RINA Services and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation joined forces to promote the sustainable use of wood in the yachting industry.
