U-Touch Lite

ANT provides solutions for Superyacht schools of the future in partnership with U-Touch.

Advanced New Technologies (ANT) Ltd, one of the world’s leading technology integrators for the Superyacht and luxury home markets, is pioneering education at sea by bringing the very latest in classroom technology to Superyachts in partnership with U-Touch, as well as a collection of other suppliers.

With the growing desire for owners to take their young families on life broadening ‘explorer’ cruises there is a requirement to ensure their educational needs are supported with a specialised electronic classroom. ANT has been designing ‘technology for kids’ with switched-on classrooms, enhanced with HD data projectors, LCD panels, computers and learning systems with amazing interactivity for children. This includes a high technology kit to allow kids to draw all over the walls or the bulkheads with a multicolour ‘Brush’, an ‘Eraser’, and a ‘Magic Wand’ to bring their drawings to life and a ‘Bucket’ to project the virtual drawings onto the wall, all with no messy clean up – a Chief Stewardess’s delight!

As one of the world’s leading specialists in touch screen technology, U-Touch lead the way in the production of high performance professional Interactive Video Walls or ‘Touchwalls’, which create a huge impact in any classroom by providing a truly interactive collaboration and learning tool for children and adults alike without the need for frustrating pens and writing tablets.

Commenting on the education at sea project and partnership with U-Touch to provide solutions for Superyacht schools of the future, ANT’s Business Development Director, Paul Cook said, “With the increased popularity of explorer yachts, which provide a luxurious way to travel to far off destinations, more owners are looking to take their children with them on these long voyages and the need for private tuition supported by leading technology has grown.”

“A primary theme running through ANT’s objectives is interactivity, to involve the student actively in the learning process whilst away from the ‘normal’ school classroom. The other primary theme is to enrich the educational environment.  Hypermedia provides a way to bring text, graphics, audio, and video together; telecommunications opens up a window to the world; and simulations provide dynamic, graphic models of abstract systems and theories – it’s very exciting!”

“With U-Touch’s new range of interactive video walls, which are becoming a significant part of the teaching curriculum for many educational authorities, and ANT’s extensive expertise in installing and supporting technology-based IT and communications systems on-board Superyachts, owners can be safe in the knowledge that their children are receiving the most interactive of tuition using the most advanced tools, even whilst at sea.”

For a large classroom setting, U-Touch’s new 110” Interactive Video Wall (IVW) with True Multitouch, offers the most flexible way to provide a large scale collaborative learning touch wall.  Fitted with U-Touch’s 20 point TM technology in the form of a custom TouchBezel, the 110” IVW is framed around a 2x2 videowall configuration using four high quality and ultra narrow bezel 55” LCD displays. It also features safety glass and anti-reflective coating across the whole video wall and has an optional built in PC, audio and speakers.

The new U-Touch LiteRange provides the most ideal solution for smaller settings and combines high performance edge-lit LED monitors with the quality and durability of U-Touch Infrared Technology. With full HD resolution it is internet ready and also features a TV tuner, providing an ideal all-in-one touch screen with reliable infrared touch technology.

In addition, U-Touch can produce custom products in-house, with ANT offering a specialised service for installation, offering a bespoke solution for any Superyacht and for any requirement.
